Welcome to our website

Our family home is a magnificent 16th century period farm house steeped in history,
situated in glorious border countryside with sweeping views towards the Welsh Marches and close to the market towns of Hay on Wye and Kington.

Dolbedwyn was originally built as a three bay Tudor Hall House and it retains many of its original and architecturally outstanding features worthy of its Grade II* listing. The house has been sympathetically restored to provide comfortable and spacious Bed and Breakfast accommodation whilst maintaining its olde world charm.

Dolbedwyn boasts fine examples of Radnorshire carvings and is believed to be one of the oldest properties of its type in the county. Oak post and panel partition screens separate some of the rooms and the original dog leg staircase that leads to the guest rooms is still in tact.
The house is set in approximately 1 acre of established gardens with fruit trees and bushes in abundance. The summer house is the perfect spot to relax and absorb the stunning view after a busy day exploring. Beyond the garden are 11 acres of paddocks, woodland and water meadow with easy access to the surrounding countryside along the adjoining bridleways and footpaths.
